"Minister for Foreign Affairs Helen McEntee will bring the Occupied Territories Bill to cabinet for approval, aiming to enact it before the Dáil summer recess. The bill, first proposed by Senator Frances Black in 2018, bans trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Ireland is one of nine EU member states calling for an EU-wide ban. The bill is a Programme for Government commitment and aims to comply with the 2024 ICJ Advisory Opinion."
