Ireland adopts first carbon budget programme with three 5-year budgets (gov.ie)

"The Government of Ireland has approved and the Oireachtas adopted the country's first carbon budget programme, setting emissions limits for three periods: 2021-2025, 2026-2030, and 2031-2035. The budgets came into effect on 6 April 2022, requiring the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications to publish them within 30 days. The programme is mandated by the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Amendment Act 2021 and aims to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions."
