"Fianna Fáil members have approved a private members' bill to lift the existing prohibition on nuclear power in Ireland. The bill, presented by TD James O'Connor, would remove the statutory veto that prevents consideration of nuclear energy. Taoiseach Micheál Martin previously said Ireland should consider nuclear power seriously. The bill will now progress through the Oireachtas as a private members' bill."
