Ireland publishes updated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) 2021-2030 (gov.ie)

"The Government of Ireland published its updated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) for 2021-2030, submitted to the European Commission in July 2024. The plan consolidates policies from the Climate Action Plan, National Development Plan, and Project Ireland 2040, and includes modelling by the SEAI and EPA. It sets out targets across five dimensions: decarbonisation, energy efficiency, energy security, internal energy market, and research/innovation. The update reflects EU feedback and public consultations, and notes a 6.8% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in 2023."
